Valentine’s Day: For GenZs, the emphasis lies on authenticity, often translating into more intimate and genuine ways of celebrating love.

Valentine’s Day 2024: In the realm of celebrations, GenZ stands out by steering away from tradition. Events like Valentine’s Day witness a unique approach from this generation, as they favour personalised and low-key expressions of connection over grand gestures. According to a user-generated poll on a social discovery platform, for GenZs the emphasis lies on authenticity, often translating into more intimate and genuine ways of celebrating love.

The poll posted by a user on the Hunch app has unveiled intriguing insights into the spending preferences of the GenZ audience.

A striking revelation emerged from the responses of the participants. Out of 7,929 GenZ participants, the majority of them, around 63.0%, weren’t interested in spending money on Valentine’s Day.

These individuals explicitly stated that it is not a top priority for them. This majority emphasises the pragmatic approach of the young generation who prefer keeping things simple and avoiding extravagant expenses.

Delving deeper into the poll, the remaining choices showcased interesting dynamics.

Approximately 18.4% of participants were ready to splurge on Valentine’s Day, showcasing a willingness to go above and beyond in their spending.

Conversely, 18.6% took a more conservative stance, firmly stating their commitment to stay within their predetermined budget.

It showcases the diverse attitudes within GenZ, highlighting that the majority isn’t keen on spending, but there is still a considerable number who are either willing to go grande or are mindful of their spending limits.
